Martha Wright grew up as a Ragin' Ray and has a love for swimming and this community. She founded the Rising Rays program in 2010 for our athletes and the Agin' Rays Masters program in 2012 for our adults. She is a year round competitive coach at Dynamo Swim Club, bringing new members into the world of USA swimming and coaching several of the top age group swimmers in Georgia. She had a future rising ray in 2024 who adores following her around the pool. Her goals in life include collecting as many smiles and hugs from as many athletes as she can.
Cordarro was born at Dynamo Swim Club in 2007, but he's probably much older than that. He was adopted by Echo Ridge in 2011 and has fallen in love with the club and this community. When away from Echo he runs the lessons program at Dynamo, which he has done for 19 years. He is loved, adored, and mistaken for Carlton Banks by many. With a flag in one hand and rally mask on, he's ready to help Coach Martha lead the Ragin' Rays to VICTORY for another season.
Zac Hilimire has been a member of the Ragin’ Rays for the past fifteen years. When not home for the summer, he is finishing up his junior year at NYU. Zac attended Paideia where he ran cross country and track and Lakeside, where he was a member of the Lakeside Varsity Swim Team. Zac has been swimming since he was 6, including several years at both Dynamo Swim Club and the Northeast Athletic Club. He is very much looking forward to coaching this season and we are looking forward to his infectious enthusiasm and love of swimming!
Lesson Fees: $30 a half hour
Nora Haynes is a rising freshman at the University of Georgia. She has been involved with echo for 14 years and has been a coach for 2 years. She also swam year round at dynamo for 10 years. Her favorite stroke is backstroke and she loves working with kids of all ages and especially kids who love the water. Nora has taught lessons in the past and is used to working with kids and making sure they enjoy their lesson as well as also progressing in their swimming ability. In her free time she loves to go to the gym and hang out with friends.
Maddie Preyer is a rising freshman at the University of Florida. She has swam for Echo since she was four and Dynamo since she was six. Maddie has coached at Echo for three years. Her favorite stroke is Butterfly and also does robotics and horseback rides.
Hey, I’m Coach Kate and I am a rising college freshman at the University of Georgia! I’ve been swimming at ECHO since I was three years old and this is my fourth year returning as a coach. I was also apart of Lakesides varsity swim and dive team for four years. I love to teach all strokes, especially butterfly, but most importantly I value teaching athletes how to feel calm and comfortable in the water. Other than coaching, I love quality time with friends to build my connective skills. I also was apart of Lakesides varsity cheer team which helped me build social and leadership skills that I connect into my coaching!
Gwyn Harrison is a rising 12th grader at Chamblee High School. Has been involved in Echo swimming for 11 years, Chamblee swim for 3 years, and coaching for 3 years. Her favorite stroke is breaststroke. Gwyn also leads the woodwind section in the Chamblee marching band, and directs the pit orchestra in their yearly musical.
Brynn Haynes is a rising senior at Lakeside High School. She has been swimming at Echo for 14 years this is her first year as a full time coach. She swam at Dynamo for 2 years and has been on Lakesides varsity swim team since freshman year as well as playing water polo for 2 years. Her favorite stroke is freestyle and she loves to teach kids in a fun environment and watch them grow as people and as they learn new skills. She has prior experience in giving swim lessons for kids. At Lakeside Brynn is Co-president for Beta Club, Secretary for both Best Buddies and Will to Live club, a Senator for Student Government Association, and Social Media Manager for Miracle Club.
Kaitlyn Hilimire is a rising senior at The Paideia School. She has been involved in swim team for 12 years, and coaching since last year. She loves working with all kids, specifically kids from the ages 6-10. Kaitlyn swam on the Paideia School Varsity Swim Team for two years and has played on the Varsity Tennis Team for three years. She also works with kindergarteners at Cliff Valley School’s aftercare program.
Emma Kwasigroch is a rising Senior at Greater Atlanta Christian School (GAC). She has been swimming at Echo for 11 years and this is her second year as a coach. She also swam at Dynamo for 9 years. Her favorite stroke is breast and freestyle. Emma has been involved with GAC’s volleyball and swim team. She also enjoys babysitting!
Mary Sloan Brown is a rising sophomore at Chamblee High School. She has been involved in club swimming for 9 years and has coached at Echo and Dynamo for a year. Her favorite stroke currently is backstroke and loves to work on butterfly, backstroke and freestyle sprint races. Coach Mary Sloan also likes to weight lifting with others, babysitting and photography!
